Hi tarosuma. Try the chocolate truffles (kids section) to sweeten him up (the sugar comes from the dates/sultana's), also try this for breakfast (omit the honey and vanilla essence if you want and you don't have to freeze the banana's for it to still taste great and give you an energy rush for the day). Soups are always good, try the potato and leek and minestrone (I usually cut my veg into cubes not in the TM as I like them chunky). Judy dawn's chicken and vege soup (in soups section) is especially good and you use lovely barley, lentils and split peas to boost up the protein content. Beef chilli con carne is great - you could have it over brown rice or mashed potato. Cook your rice first and put in your thermoserver to keep warm. If making mashed potato I would cook your chilli beef first and put it in the Thermoserver and then make your mash. Don't be too stressed about failures, they happen and it's part of the learning curve you are about to undertake. Once you are familiar with your machine things will become very quick to make and you'll be making up your own recipes or converting your old favourites. Most of all just have FUN!!
Purple Anti-Aging breakfast shake (Gluten free)
Ingredients:
1 tbls quinoa flakes replace with 2tbls oats if
1 tbls rice flakes or millet flakes gluten free not needed
2 tbls linseeds (can add a small handful of almonds for extra protein if wish)
2 peeled and frozen bananas cut into ice cube sizes (still works well without being frozen)
80gm frozen blueberries (can use other fruit here if you want ie; strawberries, mango etc)
240gm fresh orange juice
1 tbls raw honey (can reduce this as bananas make this quite sweet)
1 tsp vanilla bean extract (or a dash of vanilla essence)
Method:
Place quinoa, rice flakes or millet flakes and seeds into the TM bowl. Mill 40secs, sp9.
Add remaining ingredients and process for 45 secs on sp 9.
Serve immediately.
This recipe can be doubled very easily. I also use some almonds and sunflower seeds (couple of tbls each), sometimes a little desicated coconut and 1 tsp dulce flakes (for iodine). I alsp use at least double the blueberries and add other frozen fruits to make it more interesting - strawbs, melon, mango, kiwi fruit etc - whatever is in season.
