This was so delicious - we actually had a salute to Chookie dinner tonight with KFC coating on thigh pieces + salad with this little marvel for dessert.  Thanks for posting another great dessert Chookie.   :)  :)

i was sure i posted a reply here but obviously it has disappeared into cyberspace

we had this last week i think anyway it was quite nice although I used tin peaches as they are not at all inseason here but would like to try it and think it would be very nice with fresh peaches but got the thumbs up from us  :)

I cant find Demarara sugar here - could I just use brown sugar or maybe palm sugar?

Palm sugar would probably be OK, but won't give the same crunch.
