It's great to have found this forum - have really enjoyed browsing and taking in the many tips and pieces of advice!  From the northern beaches area of Sydney, empty nester and preschool teacher.  Daughter introduced me to the TMX  I'm not too sure there's anything she doesn't make using the TMX and sends me any number of recipes she has found for me to try.  Challenge for me at the moment is the reduction of recipes - half or even quarter the quantities - and adjusting cooking times, etc.  Guess it's just a matter of trial and error . . and tweaking :)

hi goldfish, we all cook way to much, thats why our frezzers are over flowing ;D

i have always cooked for a big famliy and restaurants i just can't get my head around cooking for only the 2 of us  ;D

Welcome goldfish, is your daughter on the forum with us,if not you will soon be sending her recipes to try. Leftover seem to be a challenge for a few people on here,not this house yet.

Hi Goldfish, welcome to the forum.  There are lots of us on here only cooking for 2 or even less and halving the recipes is the way to go.  We still get leftovers with half quantities sometimes but I wouldn't want to go much lower than that.  I either freeze the leftovers or we have it 2 nights in a row which can be handy if you are busy or don't feel like cooking.  CateA has posted recipes for 2 serves - here's her 2 recipes from mains.

Linguine with Prawns, basil & cherry tomatoes
Hokkein Noodles with Chicken, Ginger and Oyster sauce

Chicken Kiev can easily be halved and you just freeze the unwanted uncooked portions for later.

Hi JD - I've been looking for the Kokkein Noodles with Chicken, Ginger and Oyster Sauce but when I click on the link it brings up the Linguine recipe . . and I can't seem to find it by using "search" . . . . can you help??  thanks!! :)
