These came from a Donna Hay recipe. They are really easy to make and lovely with coffee.
After Coffee Nibblesingredients50 g toasted almonds, with 12 set aside for decoration
120 g fruit cake, broken into pieces
1 tablespoon orange liqueur
1 teaspoon finely grated orange rind
200 g dark chocolate, melted
PreparationMelt the chocolate in the thermomix and set aside. Follow EDC.
No need to wash the bowl.
Add the almonds ( don't forget to save 12)
Place crumbled fruit cake, liqueur , rind and 1/3 of the chocolate into the bowl.
Speed 7 for about 10 seconds. You may need to add a bit more time asa you want the almonds ground up with the cake etc
Place cases into mini muffin tins. Add 2 teaspoons mixture into each and smooth the top.
Pour over remaining chocolate and put an almond on top.
you could probably use any type of cake in this and just add a few sultanas.
