Love the kitchen! And love the colours for the splash back (without seeing much else I do like the one on the left,  but I know nothing of how the light reflects/other colours at your place etc). I'm taking notes for my kitchen

It has certainly come on DG, not long to go now. It is really lovely, such a nice big island bench too. Pick a colour for the splash back that you'll be able to live with for a long time as it will be very expensive to change down the track

Thanks for the help choosing ladies    I think I will go with the colour on the left - just need to check it with the colour of an appliance I have on lay by - want to make sure it comes close to matching 

Bedlam - the new floors are an Embleton bamboo called Beach House.  I love it!

We did have a few teething issues with some things.  The oven had an incredibly noisy cooling fan.  After a weekend and one service call I had a repairman here the following Monday.  Turns out the fan was not installed properly and was hitting the casing when it was on.  Now fixed.  Same weekend - we had a leak in the cupboard under the sink (all plumbing was done on the Friday).  Luckily it was a small leak and easily contained by a Tupperware container  .  Damien the plumber came by on Monday and fixed it up.  If they are the only problems I'm very lucky!

One of the funniest things to watch was the boys bringing the new fridge inside.  It had been sitting in the garage for about 4 weeks and I was hanging to have it inside and working.  They couldn't get it through the front door - even after removing the security door.  Had to take it the long way around the house and over a grassed area to take it through a set of double doors in the lounge room.  All very amusing I assure you.  3 fellas - one fridge - the fridge almost won!

Madly I'm getting a kitchenaid.  I have wanted one for ages  . I'm getting the ice colour.

I have nearly refilled the pantry - yay. Still a few things to go, but it's getting there.
