Progress Update
« on: March 24, 2014, 10:24:22 am »
I have had my TMX 2 weeks now and loving it. I have not been able to use it as much as I would of liked to , but what I have cooked so far has been great. I made the vege stock with my consultant the night I it was delivered. My husband made the custard but went a bit to sugar happy for my liking but it was a nice consistency and he loved it.

I have made the creamy tomato & Salami fettuccine and the beef stroganoff. We enjoyed them all but we had left overs of the Beef Strog and I found it tasted better the next day, So I might actually make it and refrigerate and use it the next night. ( I cooked the fettuccine separately

I have chicken marinading in the fridge for tomorrow, using the Peri Peri chicken recipe from this forum, so will see how it turns out tomorrow.

Happy cooking  :)

It sounds as though things are going really well. Most of us reduce the sugar in the custard by quite a lot.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Sounds great. Do Chelsea's beef stroganoff from the forum. The best!

Welcome, a lot of the sweet recipes can have the sugar reduced, I guess we are all trying to be a but healthier.

Welcome ThermieFan,

I reduce the sugar in all recipes by at least 1/2, sometimes more if there is fruit, dried fruit or chocolate in the mix. The custard is waaay too sweet!

Plenty to learn about in here, enjoy your Thermomix.
