I wonder why the individual one wasn't sticky Uni - it looks completely different to the tray pieces.

What kind of container did you use for the individual one Uni?  Was it a silicone cupcake liner or something like that?  It looks lovely.

I made this paste today.  As I have hopes of potentially adding it to christmas hampers, I made individual ones using silicon cupcake moulds. 

Mine seem to have set quite hard (but are still sticky) so hopefully I haven't overcooked the mixture.  I was in the supermarket this afternoon poking and prodding the commercially made pastes to get a feel for how hard they were as I couldn't remember what the texture was supposed to be like.  I tried a little with a bit of cheese and it did taste nice.

Any suggestions for how they could be presented as part of a christmas hamper?

Karen sent me a block of this via Katie and it is really nice.  Because of the stickiness that everyone mentions, I have found spraying a serrated knife with canola oil (and your fingers on the left hand  ;)) makes it a lot easier to cut.  I have it wrapped in baking paper as it is easier to unwrap and remove to a cutting board to divide up.  Thanks so much for sharing this Karen, I love it.

Wow Karen, your paste is such a beautiful bright colour.  Mine is more of a dull dark red.  Did you do anything different to get it this colour?  Looks fantastic.

No VieveMS, it was just the apples and raspberries in there.  Not sure why the colour is different?  Possibly the type of raspberries??  I used homegrown ones from our own raspberry canes.  I am sure yours tastes as good though!
