i reckon CP ive been wanting to get them for ages but couldnt really justify the postage costs on top of the book costs to send them over here (usually its just as much if not more than the books) then when I contacted the UK office they said no problem and also discovered they sell alot of the aussie books as well as their own! So yay for me!!

Whats the festive book like?  is it good?

you guys are making the wait even harder ....stop describing the recipes lol  :P

Yes Cornish Cream, I tried that one & Fluffy Duck but my favourite is called Dutch Latte which is 1 shot advocaat and 450mls coke.
What's in a Fluffy Duck?I rather like the idea of the Dutch Latte one, Yum! ;D

May as well put the machine to as many uses as possible Thermomixer  ;) ;) ;)

Cornish Cream, the version of Fluffy Duck I tried was 10ml advocaat, 5ml gin, 5ml cointreau, 5ml fresh orange juice.  Build layers in a tall glass which has been filled with ice and stir in some soda water.  Nothing spectacular and I think it needed more advocaat.  There is another version which I haven't done and that is 30ml advocaat, 30mls cointreau, 30mls cream, again build layers & stir through 300mls lemonade (add slowly). I think that one sounds better. Summer is my cocktail time so roll on summer :-)) :-))

Thanks Judy for the info.I don't like gin, so I like the sound of the second recipe :-))

My TM 31  (purchased from a Canadian vendor) came with Recipes for Easy Cooking with Thermomix.

Subsequently I ordered from the UK Thermomix site  Fast and Easy Cooking  which has many more recipes.

There are just a few duplicates.

I like the Fast and Easy Cooking much better.

Thank your for this post; this is useful info for when I finally buy my own Thermomix. May I ask why you preferred one over the other?

BTW, I also have a Vita-Mix 5000 and I enjoyed your comparison post. When the time comes for my Thermomix purchase, my 5000 won't be going anywhere either.  :)

It has several recipes that have come in very handy for me.
For instance, the Tomato Conserve.
Now I have been preparing tomato jams and all kinds of preserves for most of my life but they are all in large batches for canning.

This recipe is sized for the TMX with no need to convert.  There are many others but this one I prepared yesterday.  My garden is producing a prodigious number of tomatoes so I am making all kinds of tomato-y things.

Another one I prepared yesterday was the sweet chili carrot salad.
