Cooking chicken in the bowl
« on: February 07, 2011, 01:38:12 am »
I'm still pretty new to all this, but enjoying figuring things out.

Anyway, I want to make honey mustard chicken tonight, but I notice on the recipes here, the chicken gets cooked in the varoma and the sauce just spooned on at the end.

Can you actually cook the chicken with the sauce in the  *: ? Sort of like a stir fry or maybe a casserole? Or will that not work? I thought I could cook the chicken in the sauce in the  *:, keep in thermoserver, then cook rice with veg in the varoma after that?

Advice/suggestions appriciated!

I made lemon chicken the other day with the sauce and chicken in the bowl. I browned the chicken slightly first, then threw it in and cooked it at the time suggested for general casseroles etc. It turned out just perfect with the chicken really tender.
