Oh my! Thanks everyone! It wasn't my intention to make anyone cry, honest!
I have been so emotional the past few days but there has to be positives in everything!
JD, DS has been in remission for six years now and is one of the few (or perhaps the only) children to have ever been given this stage. Unfortunately he has a rare genetic syndrome which is known to cause this and even rarer, cancers. Normally there is only one gene default but DS thought he'd have two to complicate matters!
So in effect, he will never be "out of the woods" but this is our bonus time! For a child who was given a 0% chance of survival passed 3 years, he's certainly doing a lot of living!
Thank you all for sharing at least some of our journey with us!
