Advice when ordering breakfast

all good JD he placed his order with me about 1 hour ago, the loaf size that a will make for him is huge 40cm by 10 cm so it should last him  1 month, he is not a wog

Uni, just tell him that you were mistaken, you thought it was a home made loaf. You could always try to make Cyndi's Bread Supersized! There's also a nice GF loaf on the recipe community.

For breakie, I adore a good Eggs Florentine with Smoked Salmon on the side, but none of that bought Hollandaise! Love a good slice of sourdough or rye bread, but on the side, not all soggy with the eggs on top.

I refuse to drink instant coffee, I normally drink tea but allow myself one cup of percolated coffee per day. I have a little Breville percolator that's been going strong for about 10 years.

I agree, Amy, it's hard to find a good coffee in Albany. Dome is passable, but their breakfast is boring.

So true! I have only been to Dome for breakfast twice, but I swear I am never going again. Its just not worth it I usually go to Dylan's for coffee, but they have a few different barristas and not all of them are good
One word of advice: never buy coffee from Solomon's. They only fill the cup halfway. Rip-offs!

The very worst coffee shop in Albany is that one in the Chester Pass Rd Shopping Centre. Their food is horrible.

Megajane,  I'm with you on the tea.  I'm addicted to the t2 teas, at the moment my favourites are the Artic Fire, Really Russian Caravan and the Chilli Kiss (really has chilli in it).  I also like some of their chai blends.  Breakfast for me yesterday was fresh ciabatta with capsicum chilli jam and an enormous cup of chilli kiss tea.  Perfect for a cold wet morning.

my DD buys herself  t2 teas, wow so mush $$$$$ to spend and it takes her 5min to make

Yeah but it tastes sooooooo good.  I'm just having my first chilli kiss for the morning now .  It's $13 a packet but I normally get 30 cups out of a packet and I would spend that much on a bottle of average wine....it's even cheaper per cup than the coffee pods for aldi (or about the same....it's too early for maths)

i do make the  Cyndi's GF bread but it was the 1st time that i used that tin i didnt want to waste the ingredients just in case it didnt cook. i like the look of recipe community one , i think i willgive it ago today thanks for the link MJ

Yeah, they do get very busy don't they? It was packed on Saturday morning when my mum and I tried to get a coffee! We ended up getting take-aways but still had to wait nearly 20 minutes They do really good pancakes though. I would be tempted to say the best in Albany...
Do you know of any cafes down here that do porridge for breakfast? The only one I know of is Tonic, but I don't like their coffee

Sorry, no, don't know any that do porridge. Probably because it doesn't keep, really has to be made and eaten straight away. They should do Bircher Muesli, but none seem to be that adventurous!

Yeah, Bircher Muesli would be good! Dome does normal muesli, but I had it once and it was pathetic. I had to go home and have some cereal afterwards because it just wasn't a satisfying or filling breakfast. I'm starting to get very bored with breakfast menus. There's always plenty of choice in the egg department, but I don't like eggs

Maybe I should open a breakfast cafe with my TM and serve all the good stuff, like porridge, pancakes, crepes, muesli, granola, yoghurt... I suppose eggs would have to be on the menu too...
