Take care Frozzie. Enjoy your holiday.
Uni, I am doing lamb in the slow cooker today. It is always so moist and the meat just falls off the bone. I rub some garlic, mustard and herbs over it and cook on low for 8 hours. I never use my oven for roasts for I hate cleaning the oven LOL

Uni, DG is so right - Roast Lamb in the slow cooker always turns out well.
You don't get the shrinkage either and the added benefit of not having to clean the oven.

Must try that myself, I always use the weber for roasts - having said that, it is very rare that we have a lamb roast in this house, usually it's chicken or pork.  Lamb is so darn expensive.

I do all my roasts (chicken, pork, beef & lamb) in the slow cooker. So much nicer.

No Uni. Just a little water in the bottom and in goes the meat.

My meat wouldn't fit in today so I am cooking it in the oven.
140 degrees for 3 hours in a baking dish covered with al foil. I will take the foil off and increase to 180 for another hour. Never cooked in the oven so I hope it turns out OK. It is pork BTW so I will also drizzle oil and salt over skin in the hope to get crackling. Fingers crossed or it will be baked beans for dinner tonight LOL.

I also hate cleaning the oven,  so I cook all my roasts in an oven bag.  They remain moist and brown.  Following Judy's idea I have been also using the BBQ.  It is like having a third oven.

I put a carrot and potato slices in the bottom of the slow cooker to make a trivet to put the roast on and then add about 3/4 cup of stock. It doesn't need much liquid as the meat gives off it's own juices.

I don't have a pc, I'm scared of them :-))  I also do my roasts in the weber after JD spoke about it ages ago.
