Still within Budget. Love this thread. Inspired by what everyone does. Obbie that was me before I started to save. My biggest problem is the Farmers Market. Last Sat . Bought 2 Ks of Apples to make Apple Cake, used only 2 . GC coming so they will eat lots. Bought Goat Sausages, beautiful, and 2 loins of rolled Goat. Have been using Eat Your Books almost daily. Great resource.
The Goat recipes would also suit the Venison. I have selected one for braising with waxy potatoes, black olives and rosemary.

Whoops, Last week was over again. My big monthly shop at the Natural food store ($79,65) to stock up with basics.
But we managed to keep it to just over ($123.60) as not much other than milk and fruit from supermarket.
So far have stayed home this week. Hope to last til Friday with the last of the LL milk
and emptying the freezer.
Even DH commented that the pantry and freezer were looking a bit bare.

I too did a w on line order & got sucked in to /2 price deals. $133 this week. I have a lot of crackers & rice crackers. Kids eat rice crackers as snacks & I get through heaps. I think yesterday was the first day in a long time when I only had my child & not other kids.
Tonight foster boy arrives until sunday night.
Oh well saturday is the start if a new week
Chookie, I refer to eat your books daily too

Another good week here, just over $14 - that was just buying enough ingredients to get me through to the start of my next shopping week which starts tomorrow.

Gaah!! I thought I was doing well, but I have forgotten EGGS! And I have less carrots than I thought. So might need to do an extra mini-shop this week.

Too bad our stray chicken didn't hang around and lay a few last week!

Last week I blew the budget. No matter how I try to add up the numbers, $153.26 is well over the $100.00
And there is nothing unusual. No boxes of icecreams or other strange items in the cart.
$10.00 for baking flour and $10.00 for pure vanilla essence didn't help but the rest was just staples.
This week I made amends a bit tho. I haven't left the house so we are having a $0.00 week. Even tho we are not meant to carry totals over I do feel a bit better about it
Next week we have some important meetings that we have to go out for so will have to try to keep the purse strings tied up tight during the outings.

I haven't added things up recently, but I feel as if I having been keeping to budget, although I did pay $8 for a packet of organic ginger yesterday.

spent $63 on fruit and veg, should last 2 weeks. Shop tomorrow, only 3 things on the list so should be OK. Must check that I have enough fruit for the H x buns.
