I am over too
$139 my friend took me to Canning Vale Markets & I spent a fair bit at the asian shops. Even though I am over I am well under my $250-$300 I used to spend.
New week today but have 2 extra adults to feed too.
Must menu plan so I can try & stay under $130.
I think winter is easier were you can have soup & bread a couple of nights

Well done Obbie.
Hally, $139 is okay. You're still trying to catch up after the weevil debacle.

Yours is a drop in the ocean compared to what I spent this week Hally. I threw all budgets out the door when I went shopping 3 times this week and bought anything and everything I fancied - it's like dieting, you have to eventually have that piece of chocolate
Being virtually housebound and with the weather being depressingly hot with no cool change for another 6 days, I let off steam by spending plenty of money - $205.77 to be exact
There were 2 lots of visitors to feed this weekend but I can't use them as an excuse. It will even out over the year though as I have so many very cheap weeks at other times.

Good on you Judy! I love reading this thread but I'm not quite ready to join yet as I'm just starting to get a bit more time back in the kitchen and want to cook exactly what I want when I want to!
I will be here soon though

You are right GF, nothing will be wasted.
Look forward to you joining us kt2, I know where you are at and I was the same. It's only been the last few years that I have decided to pull my woolly head in and be more frugal with my supermarket shopping - just because I can and not so much that I have to.

Another no spend week here - and finally I am starting to see a few gaps in the freezer!!
Want to use as much as I can in the next 5 weeks so I can start filling the freezer with meals for after bub is born...want to start now but common sence is winning...just!!
Can't really do much til there is more room in the freezer!

Well done Astarra.
Shouldnt you be stocking up with pre-cooked eals?
I have 2 cousins, both love eating staying with me for a while. So to make it achievable, we are all on $33.33 per week, so my budget his week for 5 of us $166.66.
$33.33 is our normal budget pp per week.

I still have 15 weeks to go but thought I'll get everything else ready by 30wks
then do meals for the freezer in the last approx 10 weeks, that way I know they will not have been in the freezer 'forever' and also I won't be tempted to use them beforehand!!
I love my freezer, just need to make the space before I can fill it again! It is good tho!

I have been so slack lately, haven't even bothered adding up my weekly spend but I reckon I've been over budget for 3 out of the last 4 weeks. With the hot weather I've been looking for quick easy meals so lots of BBQ meat, fish etc which can get a bit expensive, plus lots of fresh fruit & veg.
Must get back into it - no excuses!
