I did another $0 this week, 2 in a row due to the huge shop I did just after Geoff went into hospital and of course now with it just being little old me to feed, I was able to stay away from the shops quite easily whilst I used up everything.  Still no great hurry to go shopping, plenty of milk left, freezers all full and vegies still holding out.  Big pot of vegie soup coming up soon though.  I guess from now on my budget should be $50 a week  :'(

Oh JD you think your budget shoud be $50, that made me really sad to read that.

Maybe you can take food to Geoff :) mind you Nana likes the food in her home.

I would also say you probably have a stack of food & would ony need to buy basics for a while.

Hugs :)

You still cook for your mum JD and your grandkids. Geoff will enjoy the familiar home cooking too.

Not sure how, just know ALOT of things I don't usually buy ended up in the trolley... :-))  Worse than taking the kids! But was great not to lift or carry anything!  :-*

Astarra, it's always bad when DH comes shopping with me too!    :-))

I'm expecting a big budget blowout this week - DS's birthday party is on Saturday  ;D , followed by a family dinner here (although I may decide that's all too hard and go for fish n chips instead).

Just got back from a mini break - 2 nights - in Hobart. Had such a nice serviced apartment right on the water at Elizabeth Street Pier with nice balcony that we decided to buy and cook local produce, stay in and enjoy our view..... Wow $100 later .... so that has wrecked my budget for the week - haha!  Should have gone out and dh would have taken care of it. But to be honest we often prefer to go to fresh food markets and do our own thing, especially if you can get an apartment with a view just as good as a local restaurant or better. couldn't resist the blue eye fillets and then found the Tassel shop with all those lovely salmon products and herb and spice mixes etc.  Salmon sausages! So nice.  Apparently there is a shop in Kew. I'll be visiting and adding to the freezer!

Jude59, I only saw the salmon shop in kew a few weeks ago and we all thought it was interesting that they had a shop just for salmon! It's in Kew junction on a corner up near McDonalds - sorry can't remember the names of the streets around there anymore.
