I am going to try for a zero spend this week.  Fingers crossed :)

Have some longlife milk if needed & a frozen 2 litre container.

My shopping has got a bit more erratic because of illness, hospital etc, with several zero weeks, then more expensive weeks, however I have kept all the receipts and we are logging our annual spend. That will be interesting.
I have also had to slightly change the diet, and bought few treats and items that would not have been considered on my reduced budget to aid convalescence, and it seems to be working out well for DH and very little waste. Plus lots more dried fruit and nuts push up the total.

I still shop mainly at Aldi, with the missing items from a big supermarket. DH is on A2 milk at the moment and that is only available at one supermarket. I stick to ordinary milk as it is half the price. I only get it every two weeks and freeze it.
Since we finished all the pork and lamb sent by family I get it from the local farm shop as and when we need it. Still plenty of beef in freezer.

Doing lots of baking of bread and flapjacks.

Today is my last day of this weeks shop.

We have enough food for dinner tonight from yesterdays cooking & todays so I dont need to go shopping today.

However, tomorrow I will need fruit & veg, milk. We are very low on all. i cancelled aussie farmers this week & will just buy what we need for a few days & shop like that until we go away. 13 more sleeps :)

BUT ZERO SPEND THIS WEEK, YAY YAY YAY

Very happy over 11 weeks that I have recorded this year, my average comes out at $99.75, VERY VERY HAPPY, thiought it would be more with visitors & foster kids.

Having a zero week did it. Must try & aim for more, it wasnt that hard, just making do etc :)

still trying . .  have come close!  Would love a "no spend" . .although must admit most times I've looked at the whole docket instead of separating the food from the household type of stuff . . onward and upward!! ;) ;D

Nice to see others have a no spend week - it certainly makes you happy. With DH in hospital and my big spend up last week, I am also going to have a no spend week.

Well, I'm not off to a great start... lol. I've spent $141.59 so far, and I'm still going to have to buy some fruit & vegetables as I need it (I didn't get to go to the market as I'd hoped, and the supermarket across the road is dreadful, so I don't buy in advanced from them, but on the day I need it otherwise it goes bad), and I'm about to go to Costco and buy some oats because I didn't realise I had none left. BUT, I do have enough toilet paper, paper towel, rubbish bags & dishwashing liquid to last me 6 months or more, 2 weeks worth of coke zero (my BIG vice), and I also bought 12 cans of tomatoes. Next week, all I'm going to need is fruit, vegetables and milk. I think I can do a $50 week next week if I try really hard.

Well it is nice to see zero spends for people.

I have cancelled my aussie farmers until after our holiday. Just buying as we need in the hope to keep costs down :)

Shopping at markets today
