Count me in- I'm trying to do $100 a week anyway and usually get close until I get distracted by specials on stuff that I don't need straight away!

Count me in Hally, I have been trying to keep the to $100. Or lower for the last couple of weeks.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

as food is more  expensive  here l where live .
when l am in margaret river for other appointments  l shop at coles which is a bit cheaper so this happens about every  2 -3 weeks
just buy the few things that pop up during this time  in town

we normal have cereal and pancakes on weekend for breakfast

lunch is usually left overs or sandwiches

and we dont eat much dessert but the kids do like to eat ice cream

so l normally only meal plan main meal

l am bit of a food hoader too and have a full pantry , freezer and fridge

l also buy boxes of uht milk when on special for $1 so l have it for back up

Unfortunately we dont like UHT milk.

Today I am doing some food shopping, I find it very hard not to buy the specials, I will have to be strong. Will try & add as I go along. Fruit & veggies get delivered thursday so can make do with what I have for the next 2 days, normally I would buy more. I need the garlic to make the paste which is quite pricey.

We have eb this weekend so 4 to feed friday through to monday night, eb has a big appetite, but will keep to my $100.

Am feeling rather pleased ... just done my weekly shop (including knowing we have 25-30 visitors coming in for lunch on Sunday) ...  and kept below my $100!! Only just (by $5.13) but still ... I DID IT!!!!  ;D

I only ever do one grocery shop/week, if we run out (very rare) it is just too bad, has to wait til the next Tuesday! I hate shopping with the 2 preschoolers tho, so I make a list (after looking at the specials online) and stick to it... easiest and quickest way to get it done ...  :)

$700 a week is just silly, that's nearly my monthly bill.
And there is 7 of us (with 2 nearly 3 TEENAGES )

H,  wonderful idea.  I'm in.  Feel  like I am cheating though with freezers full,  although we do entertain a lot so that might cancel out.  The Farmers market will be my undoing.   Must be strong.

I only shop once a week anyway, as its 30 minutes drive to the supermarket here.

I should do a meal plan.
