I've been posting every week to stay on track after the holiday period.

This week $106.21c so under by $13.79c. Very happy.   :D

Managed to get to the shops today.  DH had run out of petrol for the mulcher and shredded its belt with stilll a lot of branches to dispose of.
He went to get the man stuff while I did a quick shop.  Then he and Che met me to help finish the groceries.
When I paid at the checkout I thought it was a bit high.  I had added roughly as I put things in and thought it was close to $100 but it came to $120.
I understood when we got home and I unpacked.  :)   I found.   .A very large packet of jelly beans,  A very large packet of fruit chews, a jar of Scoobydoo Chocolate mud spread   :P, 4 boxes of icecreams.  Total $25.20  ???

I had wondered why the two boys were being so ultra helpful with pushing the trolley and unloading the groceries.    :-))

  :)  :D  ;D   >:(
The joys of homeschooling and having the boy along on every shopping trip.   :-))
Looks like Che stuff mainly.  Except a multi pack of drumstick icecreams I know are a favourite of Hugh  :)
Looking at the docket it seems everything the added was on special, except the Chocolate mud.
I am hoping I can use that as frosting on cupcakes.  It will not be going on toast.  Little monkey he is   :-*

Prices must have gone up here again, as I tried to do WW online tuesday, and they have cancelled all orders in Qld this week, due to flooding.
So I will have to hit the shops 2morow. :)

I was at Smithfield yesterday Robyn and there were plenty of empty shelves especially in the fresh section. Just goes to show they do not buy locally.

I've done my order already to be delivered on Monday! $160 but incl $20 petfood, and stocking up on meat, so hoping I can make savings in other weeks (and my budget is $125)

Rosie I shop on the day my DH goes to car club. It saves extra expense and he gets bored shopping. Keeps us all happy.

My DH loves grocery shopping  :o
but he is shocking at sticking to what we "need", and buys hugely expensive cuts of meat and all kinds of treats. I try and include the odd luxury to keep him happy though.
Drives me bananas when he splashes out on something I could have made out of the pantry too (baked goods or dips etc).

Back on track here too.  I love having my little savings account growing.  I had a big item I really wanted last week - I lost the pen for my graphic art tablet and then decided to get a top of the line wacom... would have taken a lot of talking to get dh on side with $2000 for such a frivolity (in his opinion).  Nice to be a woman of independent means - LOL! and all because we are being carefull and making most of our food ourselves.  Just makes you realise how much we pay for crap food and packaging etc.  My TMX really has turned our lives around... would never have imagined making the things I do now!

I went to the supermarket today, and was very good. I'm hoping that I will be on budget again this week :)
