Just bought my thermie
«
on:
June 05, 2012, 05:52:31 am »
Hi everyone. i just attended a cooking class and bought my thermomix today. I now have that strange mixture of nausea and excitement that I am sure many of you will understand. My main worry about buying a thermomix is the cost.- will I use it enough to justify it?
And I now need to have a demo ( to get my thermoserver). I am not sure how to invite people as money is tight for many at the moment and I don't want to cause people to want something they can't afford. Any tips?
In the meantime I wait ...

Gladesville girl welcome to the forum. Don't worry we all have had the concern about how much we spent on a gadget that might eventually sat in the corner gathering dust.
My tip is always have your TM sitting on the bench so it's easy to access at all times. And keep visiting this forum as we all encourage each other (not that you need encouragement once you get your hand on your TM)
They really do make cooking so much more fun and so easy. I couldn't imagine my life without my TM now. The only concern I now have is how would I cope if I didn't have my TM for a few days lol
If you ever get stuck or need advice please just ask us friendly members.
Ps I have never regretted my purchase even a tiny bit. It's something than never enters my mind

Hi Gladesville girl welcome to the forum.
Congratulations on purchasing your TM. Don't worry about not using it enough to justify the purchase. Being connected to this forum you will end up loving using it. By all means ask for help, we all do, and you will find that there is always someone here to help and no question is regarded as silly.
I understand not wanting to ask people to demos, it can be difficult for people to find the money. But if anyone really wants a TM there are ways to get it, such as payments in installments.
Happy cooking

Welcome Gladsville Girl.
I think alot of us had that same fear - it is alot of money, but I don't know of anyone who's fears became a reality!!!! TMs are just so helpful, after a while you will wonder how you cooked without it!!!

Hi GG, I have mine just over 2 weeks and there has not been a day that I haven't used it. I love Thelma and how easy it makes everything. I have even noticed DH using it.
The kids love the treats I am churning out and the amount of pre bought snacks has diminished.

Dear GG, When have you booked in to host your delivery demo? That's because there's a special deal for 12 months of interest free finance to those who purchase a Thermomix on a payment plan by this Friday 8 June. So if you are concerned about the affordability of the product, maybe ask your consultant to bring your delivery demo forward to later on this week?? Anyway, well done on your purchase decision and welcome to this fantastic forum. You will be amazed the support and inspiration you will find here. Enjoy!!

Hi GG, and welcome to the most awesome forum on the internet!!
Don't worry about the purchase of your TM, just wait until you get it and can't stop using it! There are so many things it can do and so many recipes to try, your only worry will be how on Earth you're going to try them all!
There are heaps of very experienced members on this forum who are always happy to give help and advice if you need it. Don't be afraid to ask!

Hello GG, welcome to the forum. We all feel like you for a short time so it is perfectly normal. Once you receive your TMX and get into using it daily, that thought will soon disappear and the money you save on a weekly basis will pay for the machine in no time. People who don't have a TMX wouldn't understand this but you will be getting around with a smile on your face knowing you have done the right thing. If, for some strange reason you do lose your cooking mojo (it happens occasionally) a word to us on the forum will have us all scampering to get you back on track. We know it will work wonders, we have done it before.
Whilst you are awaiting delivery of your TMX, have a browse of our forum and our enthusiasm will rub off on you. Have you got family members that would be willing to come to your demo - they are going to have to listen to you raving about this machine so they might like to see for themselves what the fuss is all about.

Welcome GG. Once you have received your TMX and started using it you will realise that the money you have spent is ok.
When I had my first Thermomix demo I invited friends and told them it was so that I could get my machine and they were not to worry about all the hype that went with it. The evening went really well.
