Take care Amy :)

Thanks Mandi :) I just hope my doggies don't get too scared with all the thunder. They are both 11 years old and it would be devastating for us if one of them had a heart attack :(
I think I will also have to move Jo Blo Bubbles because his little tank is right next to a window and the lightening flashes through the curtains. I suppose fish can get scared? I don't know, but I don't want to risk him having a heart attack either! :o

Hally, hope you are still okay. I always worry when the weather gets like this. It can be so unpredictable :-\

Best wishes to all our fellow WA-ers too :-*

Oh wow Jo Blo Bubbles is still alive :o, thought you would of killed him off by now lol..
And I can understand your concern with your older dogs, we like to take extra care of our older pets. My dog is almost 12 and my cat is almost 15 and we do tend to spoil them more :)

Very funny Mandi.... lol :D
There have been a couple of instances when I thought I'd killed him, but it seems that he just likes lying down in his tank. Lazy little bugger!

Yeah, pets become part of the family don't they? And they are most certainly spoilt, sometimes I think they have a better life than me! But then I remind myself that they can only play with balls and ropes, not TM, so the thought vanishes pretty quick :-)) I suppose 11-12 years is probably about grandma age for dogs, and I think a 15 year old cat would have to be prehistoric ;)

I read somewhere that my cat would be somewhere between 75-100 years old. Apparently that depends on of they are inside or outside cats. My old boy spent his first 9 years outside and the last 6 years inside and outside as we felt sorry for him in winter :D
So I'm not sure how old he would be. But he is starting to really show his age now.

Nawwww, what a cutie!! Does he have a name? He's definitely showing his age with all those white patches though :-))
Interesting what you say about it being different for inside or outside cats. It makes sense, but at the same time it doesn't lol ???
At least you know he's had a good life with you Mandi. That's what I think about all my pets. No matter how short or long their life turns out to be, I know I have always cared for them as best I can and treated them with the love that all living beings deserve ;D

Dozer is his name Amy, my eldest son was 2 when we got him and he loved trucks and bull dozers and big machinery at the time so he called him Bull Dozer. But I shortened it to just Dozer :)
Glad he didn't call him truck :D

Can't see much outside yet but we are all fine, have power and appear to have a house intact  :)

I don't think it was quite as intense as Sunday but was bad enough to keep me awake for most of the night too.

Hope everyone else fared well  :-* :-*

How adorable Mandi! :D Truck would have been a bit weird, but not as weird as Forklift :-))

Is the storm all over up in Perth? We had howling winds and really heavy rain all night, like you did Hally. The thunder wasn't too bad so our doggies didn't get too upset :) The wind is still very strong and it was pelting hail a few minutes ago, but I'm hoping it will ease off soon. I didn't get any sleep last night but I'm just glad nothing got blown through my window.

Glad to hear you are all OK albeit without much sleep last night - no storm here but I only had 4.6 hours myself so there are going to be a lot of tired people around the country today.
