Just thought I would check back in and see if the recipe has surfaced yet... :( no...
There were about 30 odd consultants at the biggest morning tea, so hopefully one of them will know which recipe it was!

My consultant wan't there, but I will ask her anyway if she can track it down.

Hopefully someone in the mean time will produce it!

It definitely had nuts in it, but no chocolate. It was a light little ball with a nut inside it. On the day someone said it was Luigi's 40 second biscuits. Perhaps it was, rolled into a ball instead of a flat biscuit, but with a nut in the middle of it. Thermomix Australia although said it was a nut cluster, just to confuse us all!

I'll keep hunting.

sorry everyone, we have been without power for 24 hours, will email my old GL now. From what I can see of the pic, it was both the 40 sec biscuits and nut clusters. Will see how I go  :)

Ha ha, no, I don't have any hazelnuts... wonder if it would work with almonds!

If you have plenty of almonds, why not try it - the only way to find out ;)

YES that's them  ;D ;D ;D Keep an eye on them in the oven as they burn quite quickly towards the end if you are not careful  ;)

Oh my, they do sound very tasty ;)

Now that the recipe has finally been unearthed, I think I may have to try them as well!

I don't like hazelnuts though, so I think I'll try mine with macadamias :D

I made these yesterday and they were so quick - took less than 1 minute to make, then cook (or burn as the case may be in my oven), cool and drizzle chocolate over the top.  You just need walnut sized balls and I made abuot 12 - 18 (I forgot to count them then neighbours arrived and they got eaten and given away).  Anyway, they are a tasty, quick and easy nibble to make.

As for making them with other nuts, I'm not sure, I think you really need the hazelnut taste otherwise they could be quite bland, but it would be interesting to hear other versions.  They may work if you mix some chocolate bits into the mixture as well, I think that would be nice.
