Chopped an onion last night!
« on: June 12, 2012, 01:17:46 am »
LOL - hardly breaking news I know, but it was the first time I've chopped an onion in 6 months! (since I've had my TMX). Then I couldn't find my garlic press - couldn't even REMEMBER what it looked like! Don't worry, thermie isn't broken, was busy boiling eggs for DD who is sick & needed comfort food.

LOL I think I've forgot how to chop onions without TM... do you use a knife or a spoon? :-))

I know a lady who wears her DD's swimming goggles when she chops onions ;) She doesn't have a TM :(

This made me laugh. When ever I chop something I now think what would the girls think of this?
Must order my second bowl today.

I am still not fully converted  though as old habits take a long time to change especially when in a hurry and that is often.

DD home at the weekend, wonder what she will make of it? She will be here til end of sept with a summer job. Hopefully she will get FT employment or a graduate traineeship after that.

I often find if I only need to chop a single onion etc then I find it quicker and less cleaning up to just chop by hand. If I've got more to chop or using the TMX to cook the dish as well I'll use it to chop. I always go for the quickest and least dishes method.

Agree with you Wonder.
Used my stick blender on here for something from here, now can't remember what. Less washing up.

Mmm. If I have just a little cream to whip, I use my bamix stick blender. The cream is easier to get out and the washing up is just as easy.

Well small amount of cream to whip I still use the old fashioned hand beater... Looks like an egg whisk, stainless steel.
Used it on Sunday.
