The recipe calls for crystals, slightly crushed in a mortar & pestle CP but I have the powdered variety. Might just do 1/2 a batch and see what happens.

I have made up the magic spray now all I have to do is convince my kids to use it over the holidays - it's killing me I want to get down and scrub my tiles but I probably won't be able to get back up as I had hip surgery a few months ago and I am still recovering - I could stand up though and clean the windows!

Don't do anything to risk a set back DGIO, the floors can wait if the kids don't take you up on your request.

Yeh bugger the floor. Take it easy.
The floors will still be there when ya feeling able to do them yourself. Or get the kids to do them

Mandi or CP, I'm hoping you can answer this question for me. I have found the spray bottle thingy whatsit ceases spraying if it is left sitting for a while - would that be because, unless it is rinsed after each use, it clogs up the mechanism? Mind you some of the time it was only left for the 10 -15 minutes or so that one section of the floor was soaking then mopped clean. I would then go on with the next section and it wouldn't spray. I went through 3 different spray bottles today, now none of them are working. When I did my bathroom I just tipped the liquid onto the floor as I was so frustrated that none of the spray bottles were working
Having said that, I have just tested one of the bottles which still had some liquid in it and the b....y thing is working

The cleaning part wasn't too bad Kim but I have very little patience with things that don't work - I am always quick to throw them in the bin and replace them. Poor DH thinks himself lucky that he has survived

Oh no JD, I haven't had this problem at all
I used an empty spray and wipe bottle and a windex bottle. I didnt do any cleaning today so I will go and test the bottles for you.
Did you dissolve the washing soda completely ?

No neither of my bottles are blocked.
I wonder if it makes any difference because you use half strength vinegar?
I wouldn't think so but maybe?

Yes I dissolved the washing soda Mandi and I opened a new bottle of vinegar and used it full strength. I'm happy that the one which still has something in it is working at the moment but the other 2 were emptied and I have them soaking in water. I used 3/4 of the 2 litre bottle today so I can see why you had to make 2 batches. The spray bottles I used were from Bunnings products plus one new spray bottle I bought especially for spraying my bread.
