A gorgeous day here sun shining. Just in from our beach walk with the dogs.
A lazy afternoon then out for dinner later.
Gert hope you are feeling warmer today.

CC your brambles bring back happy memories from my childhood. We had a caravan on the isle of Cumbrae and spent long weekends and school holidays there. We used to cycle around the island with a bucket on the handlebars to pick the berries. Many scratches later we would return with the tell tale signs of eating the berries all around our lips!!!  ;D

Julie,  I also take my hat off to you.  It is lovely walking early,  but we still have snow on the ground ,and very slippery. ( well that is my excuse).

Nothing nicer than the smell of newly harvested hay and just look at that lovely blue sky.

Marie, and when the power goes off at night the best thing in the world is having an iPad with 3G.  Whilst everyone sits around twiddling their thumbs we can relax and amuse ourselves for hours.  The time soon goes ;)

When the power goes off here, the mobile masts go off too, so we have zilch... Gas lamps and books perhaps, and the radio. DH and I had a lovley evening like that in the winter in front of the old range for heat. 30 hrs without power been most since we moved here.

Morning all.
We lost power last night and when we rang the power company they said they would send someone out about midnight. They did,  and a man climbed the post with a safety harness.  All fixed now.
3 degrees at the moment but sunny, no wind.
CC lovely photo.
Enjoy your week everyone.

I think it must be about 3c here in Avalon. Can't wait to get home tomorrow to 28c. Poor bugger out in the cold dark night.  When we lose power which is frequently. I have just the excuse to read on my Kindle.

Made pizza last night with just the yogurt dough and VANILLA flavoured yogurt which was all there was. Not too bad.

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Brr, that poor chap having to climb the pole at midnight Chookie - who'd want his job :-\

Going home tomorrow already Gert, gee that week went quickly.  Sue will miss you.

DJ, I could sit in front of an open fire for ages.  I know a range is not quite the same but as long as you were warm and had good emergency lighting, it sounds a nice way to spend a blackout.

I don't envy your power chap his job Chookie.

Believe Uni is going to Bali today??  Safe travels, Uni - and have a wonderful time.  I'm sure their morning temperatures will be well above the 4 and 5C of Sydney!!  I think Uni might find Gert in her suitcase when she gets there!! ;D ;D ;D

I have been noticing the freezing temperatures over there. Brr, poor things. It hasn't been too bad here. Lovely and sunny and is going to be 25 on Wednesday.
