Good morning all.  Expected to wake to pouring rain with the forecast saying we were going to receive our biggest downfall in 30 years!  It must still be on it's way although I died last night after not too many hours sleep at DD's place and I see the rain gauge is half full this morning - some, or all of that, could have been from yesterday when I wasn't here though.  A lovely cool 22 expected today.

Great day here.  We sure are a land of sweeping changes.  Flooding in Alice Springs at the moment and quite a bit of the state of flood standby!!!  First fires now floods!!!!

It's amazing isn't it Trudy? I think that sort of makes Australia. We are so varied and interesting. I saw a photo of the road to Cape Leveque yesterday, it was like a river. ( it's north of Broome, and basically unsettled). I have managed to find the photo. It is from ABC twitter. I do hope it is ok to put it here. I just thought it was beautiful. The road is red sand as you can see.

Perth's Summer has been great so far, apart from hottest day on record, we really have had it easy compared to eastern states.
Maybe I shouldn't speak too soon.

Great photo Cookie.  Show's just what it can be like in outback Australia.  Saw lots of footage on ABC24 of Alice Springs floods.  Can't imagine why anyone would want to go down the Todd in a rubber ring!!!

Aircon fixed today, a fuse!
Glad it will be ok for next week as the temps are set to rise again.
Amazing photo cookie, thankfully it didn't look like that when we drove it.

Morning all.
It is lovely and cool here.  Yesterday we were under cloud all day.  Our water tanks are all full again.  I will be making more jam today.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
