Morning all.
Cold and wet here. We are also under thick cloud.  Another good day for cooking.
Gert, you can keep the snake.
Cosco is a very dangerous shop. Too many good things so cheap. Is the bread flour Australian? Fancy meeting there!

Snake, yikes Gert!

Yes the bakers flour was marked 100% Australian made & owned.  $8.99 for 12.5kg. I will buy some when I've used up the bag I have. I'm looking forward to going back to Costco and having a better look around.

Ugh. Snakes and I dislike each other intensely. Gertrude you are extremely brave to even take a photo. I would have left screaming very loudly.

Your a brave woman Gert, I couldn't do it.  I would have been off in the other direction screaming for help. Lol
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Very brave Gert.
The flour is a bargain Katie. TRTLMT blog has a Costco price comparison that you might be interested in. Not sure how up to date it is, but it pays to do your homework when you shop at Costco.

I would have left your house screaming if I had encountered the snake Gert.

Did you know if it was a poisonous or harmless snake Gert?  I think if I knew for sure it was harmelss, I wouldn't have a problem trying to remove it myself either, they don't frighten me as such but of course different if it was poisonous.  Spiders on the other hand........

Bit of a dreary start to the day here today but it was so good to go for my morning beach walk after missing it for a few days.  Did lots of walking in Adelaide but I miss the sight and smell of the sea.  I really don't think I could happily live inland, would miss it too much.

Looking forward to a nice day at home, catching up with things and may even make a loaf of bread using a new mould that arrived while I was away.  If it's any good I'll post about it later.  :)

morning all.

Gert, glad that was your home and not here.  Did you have to get a snake catcher in?

Judy, your right Costco isn't too close to us (around 25 mins away) but Erin wanted some flour and it's hard with the baby to get out.  I'm sure we looked like a couple of derro's though as called in on our way back from Pirie!

I am the snake wrangler in this house Trudy. I tried to catch it in the garage the day before but obviously it slithered into the house unbeknown to me. Glad I did not spot it in the middle of the night as has happened before.  I fell over trying to catch this one but thankfully my well earned padding saved me from a fractured kneck of femur.

Wish we had a Costco too just to window shop in.

Congratulations on getting the snake Gert. JulieO I will remove your spiders and you can do my snakes.

It is a Public Holiday here today. There is a lot of discussion if it should be a holiday or not.

Do you leave your doors open Gert?  How would it get in otherwise?

I'll be looking at that flour next time I go to Costco Trudy although I recently bought a 10 kg bag and haven't even opened it yet so it will be a long time before I need to restock.  I paid $20 for 10 kg so that price is amazing.
