It is an opportunity Michele to tidy and deselect stuff and to not replace. Just a helping hand in what you are already doing.

I am soon to run out of things to get rid of. Scary. I think I am becoming obsessed with leaving nothing behind for others to toss. I would rather find useful places for things to go now.

Next thing I Will do it get some painting done as in the edges and bits.  Not a big job but a tedious job. Got the window and screen cleaners coming. I could do it myself but for the price they charge it is definitely not worth risking myself on ladders and such.

Had a win today. I got a cheque from AAMI for $112 as a reduction on my car ins premium as I am now a one owner little, old lady driver. Too funny. I wish I had know as Ted had not driven in nearly a year and I could have removed him from the policy last year! Good tip for anyone.

Nice to win something Gert, however small it is.  Window cleaners are worth every cent they charge, it's impossible to get windows as clean as they can and why knock ourselves out anyway.

Morning all.
4 degrees at the moment.
Gert, love your insurance win. Last week we went to Bunnings and were  charged twice for one item.  I rang them and they said they would refund.however the shop was in Ballarat, 2 hours away. In the end the manager said they would post a gift voucher to cover the charge. Pretty good service as they hadn't even seen the docket and I didn't really carry on.

That is nice to hear Chookie.  I think we always expect a problem in these situations so when we don't get one, we are surprised.  :D

Gert, it's better in your pocket than theirs.  :)

The light was so unusual this morning down the beach and I didn't encounter one person anywhere.  There's usually a few fishing off the jetty and the odd walker/runner or two, but no-one today.  There was such an eerie feeling and yet it was really beautiful.  :)

I did see a pod of 6 dolphins though frolicing and having a feed and when I got back to my car there were another 2 right out in front of me.  Seeing them always sets me up for the day.  ;D

I love to see the dolphins when they are free and frolicking too. We are at Monkey Mia now so we will see quite a lot when we are out fishing. We don't go down to watch the dolphin feeding here as it is so very commercialised.

I was surprised (and saddened) to read that the dolphins were being fed commercially at Monkey Mia, when we were there, more than 20 years ago now, the park rangers allowed about 10 fishes to be fed to the pod and nothing more, it was all strictly controlled and a wonderful experience.  Tourism is a wonderful thing, but not when it turns into this sort of fiasco.   :'(
