Judy I am thrilled for you. That is wonderful news. A load off your mind.

If anyone could do it you could Judy.  Well done. Now you too will have to learn how to cook for one. That is after you empty your and your mother's freezers!

;D Yes, you're right Gert, it means what I cook up will last even longer  :-)).  Everyone at the care facility are so excited for us.

Great news Judy. Nice that your mum seems to be looking forward to it. Do you have some help
packing her unit up and moving her into higher care? I hope you do, especially as you are unwell.

I'll be doing the bulk of it Michele but my brother-in-law will help out. There isn't much there as Mum is a real minimalist.  Tomorrow I'll get her to choose 6 outfits to take with her and I'll keep the excess here so that I can swap things over from time to time. I won't start clearing things out until she's moved which looks like being Tuesday at this stage. I'll hire a taxi truck to take the 2 pieces of furniture that are going with her, another to bring unwanted furniture to my garage from where anyone who wants anything can take it or I can ask a charity if they would like it.  Kitchen cupboard contents will be offered to the retirement village for their next fete, there's not much in Mum's cupboards as she culled before moving to the village.  Thankfully I don't have a lot in my diary for next week.

Great news Judy but please look after you as well.  I remember only too well when I was overloaded and ended up with pneumonia ( you don't want that).
I would love to have you on my side if ever I was in need. Lucky Mum and Geoff.
