Good morning to you all.  Our weather is not quite going to plan, no longer in the low 30's as today is going to be 37.  I have a council concert this morning and have to take poor Mum out to her GP's 6 monthly check up this afternoon.

Phew I saw your temp this morning and thought of our Adelaide ladies.  Too hot, take care.
Beautiful here but just can't get into Christmas. Love my bub but he takes my brain power ( the little I had) away. Guess it will happen whatever I do.
Have a lovely day everyone

Perhaps it's the weather/air/whatever Denise. I'm much the same. I have no parents to buy for and MIL always receives a heap of clothes from us. I have sent brother's gift as he isn't coming over this year. I hope to catch up with my other brother next week and DD is working.
I did make a list of the food we are eating so that is a start. DH is a Christmas grinch and DD told me she is too. Bad luck for them I love it. So when I get myself into gear they will celebrate as we do every year. I usually love preparing far to much and have to fill the freezer, so far this year I've done a small batch of fruit mince tarts.

I'm sure I will realise it is Christmas next week and get going. Is the little one old enough to enjoy Christmas?  I can't really remember back that far. Are you permitted to spoil him?

He is only 7 months, spoiled yes but not aware.
We have a tree up, only because DD got it down from the loft but she didn't decorate.
One of my problems is my sons wedding in February, I don't want to put on weight and have regrets when I see the photos.
What's Christmas without an abundance of good food?
Sorry to hear your hip is troubling you, I hope the injection gives you relief.

I'd forgotten about the wedding. I can quite understand how you feel. It will be something wonderful to look forward to.

He is pure joy to us.  Next year Christmas will be fun.
I have fond memories of our White Christmas a few years ago CC.  We all hope to do it again one day.

Morning all.
Can't do much baking for Xmas with the hot weather.
Bedlam, I can still remember our DS first Xmas. He was just 9 months old and we drove him into the city to see the lights.  His little arms flapped up and down with pleasure/ excitement . I am so glad that your little one is giving you so much pleasure.
Just a quiet Xmas lunch here with DD and partner, been told not to over do it but probably will, then to Ballarat for dinner with GC.
Picking up large ham today , will share with family and friends.

Good morning everyone, after a very full day yesterday today there is nothing in my diary. In this heat I would hate to be planning a Christmas meal here. 39 today.

Not a nice week here Michele.  I feel for all those who have so much to do for Christmas. It's great that the kids' school year has finished but it would be hard to keep them entertained when it's so hot. I'll have a Queensland friend down for 1 night on Sunday,  she wants to visit Geoff and Mum and we'll be eating out as it will be in the 40's that day.  She'll be in Adelaide for a week from today visiting her many friends before going over to spend Christmas with her son in Perth. I hope it will be cooler for her over there.

I hope it is cooler for your friend in Perth too Judy. This week is beautiful. I have this sneaky feeling that it is going to be awful for Christmas Day. It doesn't really matter as we always have a cold lunch and dinner. Christmas Eve is the busy day here. I do everything then.

Try and stay cool South Aussies and others who have very hot weather.
