It was such a beautiful, colourful sunrise this morning, welcoming in Christmas Day down the beach.  So nice and cool too which made for a thoroughly enjoyable walk.
I made the most of it as we are heading for 40C today.  DH is working dayshift 7am-7pm for the next 3 days, so a very quiet day here for me.

Enjoy your Christmas Day everyone, whatever you may be doing.  :D

Good morning everyone.  Regardless of the weather I hope you all have a lovely day, a stinking 38 here today but rain forecast for later in the day. Take care everyone.

Have a pleasant day friends. No matter if you are working very hard like Marina or having quiet time like JulieO.

We had an early start as DD left just after 7 for work.

DH will drive down to pick his Mum up, we will have lunch the. He will take her to the cemetery to visit his Dad. I will probably sleep.

Much love to everyone.

Hope you all had a great Xmas and no one has been threatened by any of the awful fires that are around at the moment.  The heat has broken here for the moment, it's raining just now and I think that it is expected to carry on all day and still be fairly cool tomorrow.  A very welcome break for everyone in this part of the world, but I hope it doesn't ruin anybody's holiday plans (may put a bit of a dampener on the cricket, though!).

Anyone brave enough to tackle the Boxing Day Sales?

Morning all.
Not a good Xmas day for many in Victoria with bushfires. 60 homes lost along Great Ocean Road. This is where many Victorians go for the holiday season. No lives lost.
We had a great day with family and will return home later today.

Good morning everyone.  I avoid Boxing Day sales like the plague, it's just an age thing as I used to love them when I was young.  I hope those of you who hosted family get togethers yesterday have the chance to relax today, you all deserve a break and for those on holiday, I hope you all enjoy your break.

The fires have been dreadful this summer so far, it's a real problem.  Stay safe everyone.

Good morning everyone. I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Christmas Day however you chose to celebrate the day.
DH and I had our usual early morning walk along the river. Lots of others had the same idea, most people said Merry Christmas in passing, even strangers. A nice warm feeling to start the day. We went to DD early afternoon and spent a lovely afternoon/evening with family and 3 very excited GK's.
It was so nice to wake this morning and have a free mind, and not have to think about lists, gifts, food prep. Bring on the leftovers!

Plenty of leftovers here to feed us for today and possibly tomorrow.
DD decided this morning that we would attend the Boxing Day sales. I haven't seen so many people at our local large shopping centre for years and years. It was quite fun. I picked up next year's Christmas cards and we wandered. DD picked up a lovely pair of shoes at Wittner for 50% off.
DD picked up a lovely anniversary gift for DH and I at a good price too. We had to park 'off in the bush' but it was fun. We left about midday as it was getting a bit over the top.

The fires on The Great Ocean Road have been dreadful. It is such a beautiful part of the world. I see Amanda, who used to come on the forum had a fire very close to her house. Nasty.

118 houses lost at last count on Great Ocean Road.
We have had lots of rain while away. Lovely.
Took GC to local shops for sales.  They bought very little and us nothing. Not our scene at all.
Just sandwiches for lunch and cheese on toast for Dinner.
Nice to be with family but great to be at home.

Good Morning  :D

Dreadful to hear about the fires.
Went to the sales yesterday, not near as crowded as I thought they would be. Bought a fitbit on sale as my old pedometer died a few weeks ago.
Off to the gym to walk today as it is very blowy and the temperature has dropped quite a bit too.
Hope you all have a relaxing day.
