A good day's work, Katj. Gold star for you!
Weather back to Melbourne's normal hot one day then cooler the next pattern after yesterday's heat. Will be getting together with our cousin from Scotland who now lives in NZ with her husband, whom we have never met, and who we haven't seen in the best part of 40 years, for brunch today. That will be amazing.

Good morning everyone. A beautiful start to the day here in Perth, going to be 28, the sky is clear blue at 5.45 am.
I have my Friday morning craft group on this morning.
Marina, how exciting to meet up with your cousin after so long. Enjoy your day!

Hello All.
Very hot here today. To top it all off there is a bush fire right behind us. A lot of the roads have been closed off. Fire trucks and police everywhere.
Looked it up on the net and it says it's out of control but no immediate danger. We haven't been told to evacuate.
I'm sure all will be well just a big yellow haze of smoke over the sky.

All is good. It is a bit scary being surrounded by bush but it is under control now.
There is only one way out for us. My next door neighbour came and bashed on our door to make sure my DH was awake.
I was at the hairdressers and could hear the sirens never thinking it was so close.
Every year we go to fire awareness meeting. We have an evacuation plan if worse comes to worse.
