Michelle hopefully that's the last scare you will have this summer, I know when I lived in the bush with only one way out I was always very conscious of the possibility of fire each summer.
The smoke would be horrible. Last summer when we had all the fires in Tassie the smoke really got to me and there was no where to escape to get away from it. Take care.

I've spent ages scrawling through the Forumest 2014 photos (and reliving that great fest) but cannot see the picture Gert.  Here we are on the boat before the picture you refer to was taken afterwards on the dock but it is no-where to be seen.  I did go on and check all the remaining pages as I knew people posted pictures after they got home.

Mich reading your neighbours comments was very interesting. A lot of fires  here in the last year or two have been through lack of burning off, but the others have been burn off fires that have escaped.

I will go and see if I can find that photo girls, I'm on the 'big' computer at the moment.

I think that photo was taken by Uni as she used it for the forum fun page and she isn't in the photo.  I don't have a copy of it either.

Thanks everyone who searched for the photo. Special thank you to Katie and Judy. Yes it is fun reliving the moments.

Chookie it is 30 here every day but my wee garden badly needs water though I am not looking for the "wet" to start.

Good morning everyone.  My grand-dog went home last night so busy this morning removing all traces of him.  They tell me there is a little sister coming to join Elliot in the not too distant future, I wonder what he will think of that!
A hot one here today.
I love that photo Gert, it was lovely of Katie to help out on her weekend away

Only after she is toilet trained I hope Katj.  They used to have 2 Cavs before the children came along and we always had them when they did overseas trips etc.  I prefer to have pets I can give back rather than have one of my own. I was up at 6.30 washing dog blankets etc, vacuuming & washing floors so that my house could look 'normal' again (all by 10 am). Now I have to call the window cleaner in.  It's amazing how much you can get done if you get up early - I've also changed my bed over to the summer quilt and washed the winter gear plus I've defrosted the small freezer.  I think that will be it for today, will shower and head off to Wesley to see the guys and take them to slow bingo.
