Lovely table setting Chookie.

Early start today. Just need to pack the fridge in the van and then we are off to Armidale for a week.

Good Morning, after a very warm 35 in Armidale yesterday the temperature has dropped to 17 over night. I'm wearing a cardigan this morning.
Will enjoy it while I can as another warm day is expected.
Looking forward to getting out and exploring this morning.
A few things we are hoping to do while here is driving to Coffs Harbour via The Waterfall Way, a day in Tamworth which I'm really looking forward to as I haven't been there since I was a teenager and doing the foodie trail.
Hope you all have a great day.

Morning all.
Still cleaning up after the Xmas festivities.
Went to the sales in Ballarat yesterday. Ral bought a pair of Teva sandals for 1/2 price.
Chooks enjoying Xmas leftovers.
CC, I would enjoy a good frost.

Hi friends.
Still dark outside so can't see what sort of day it will be. I think I'll be pottering around the house doing odd bits of housework. :-))

Strange weather yesterday - it started off with rain, then showers, then rain again.  We were expecting friends around so we hurriedly cancelled Plan A - a leisurely lunch under our beautiful golden elm, and started on Plan B which comprised raiding our neighbour's place for some trestle tables which we could put on the verandah, scrounging all our outdoor chairs together and having lunch there instead (our normal outdoor table and chairs are too big and bulky for the verandah).  So, emergency plans in place, everything was fine.  Then one of our friends (a quadriplegic) rang to say he couldn't make it as he had suffered a spasm and had fallen out of his chair and hurt himself, so, unfortunately, that was one less coming.  Then our neighbour popped in to say his partner couldn't make it either ... there was another one gone.

As it turned out, just about 1/2 an hour before everyone was due to arrive the weather changed completely and the sun came out and it was back to our Plan A, so we all settled down and enjoyed lunch outside in the shade of the elm.

It is looking like today will be a repeat of yesterday - except fewer people coming.

Morning all.
Marina, it is that time of the year when things don't go exactly as planned, but still things seem to work out.
We also are enjoying our verandah. We often have morning tea outside.

Good morning everyone.  You sound very busy with lots of visitors at your country retreat Marina, life is so different out there to that in the city.
What a lovely spot to sit and admire your roses Chookie. Those chairs look so comfortable.
This week I've made myself a new little succulent pot garden, snatching an hour here and there to get it finished.  I need to go to Bunnings to find some garden art to finish it off then I'll post a photo.

Judy, was waiting to hear that you were ok. See storms hit Adelaide.
You won't have to do much to care for your succulent garden.
