Hi Mich. I hope you haven’t had fires too near you.
Phew, you ladies are experiencing the weather we had last week.  We didn’t have any storms though Judy.  It is going to be 40 here on Tuesday. Keep cool everyone.

Hi Cookie, we have had the fires very close to us in the bush behind us on New Years Day. We were away and couldn't get back in. 2 houses partially damaged but no lives lost thankfully.

It rained heavily in the early hours this morning but cleared up by the time I had to walk Chance.

A cool day and quite windy here.

Hi all.  Just returned from our Cruise on QE2.  Didn’t have a clue when I booked but was pleasantly surprised. We wanted a walk-in shower, not one over the bath. Good and bad points.
Good, food amazing.  We had our own kitchen for 100 people.  Every thing freshly cooked.
            We had a steward who looked after us.  When we ordered room service he came and set up our table with cloth and silver.
            Had my hair done.
            Attended 2 Cabaret shows, fun but not to my liking.
            Ate in the English Pub.
            Won at Trivia 3 times.  Was the other 4 who were the stars.
             Met some lovely people.
            Lovely Penhaligon toiletries
             Walk-in wardrobe and lots of drawers.
             Had our own personal Concierge
Not so good
             Too many old people, yes we were among the oldest. Range 60 to 80.  We did miss the young people and the kids.
              Chaos at collection of bags at end of trip.
               Nothing in the shops that I was tempted to buy.
               Missed Judy at Adelaide. 
               Caught a cold on last day.
Over all, did enjoy being spoilt for 7 days.  RAL would have enjoyed it more if there was a men shed.
Have booked again for next year.
Took a video of our cabin. Will try and post.  Also some photos of Dining Room.

Comments on Coffee machines.
Rals machine is a Rocket.  With the Dura, that Gert has, are said to be the top 2 on the market.  Need to buy a coffee grinder to go with it.  We have had many machines , semi automatic and automatic but they all needed servicing and repairs. We are told that you leave this one in your will.  What you choose depends on how much hands on you want.

Well the good points outweighed the bad points Chookie and I’m glad you enjoyed yourselves, it was a pity that I had a bus tour on the day your ship came into port.  Being so close it would have been a wonderful opportunity for me to at least wave to you LOL.  Like you, the floor shows on these ships are not my cup of tea either.  I hope your cold doesn’t last long.

What a wonderful, relaxing few days for you and Ral, Chookie. I love the idea of the smaller kitchen cooking for a lot less people. Bad luck about no men's shed. Maybe one day. It looks so lovely and decadent.

Good morning, it is cool and windy at Invermay. 
For years people have told us how tasty our eggs are.  We haven’t taken much notice as we never buy eggs.   However on the Cruise we had eggs for breakfast and finally realised what the difference was.  We feed the Chooks the best layer pellets supplemented by kitchen scraps and lots of green feed from veggie garden.
Cookie, now even more convinced that they need a Men’s Shed.

Sounds like a nice holiday Chookie and was obviously enjoyed to book again for next year.  I find it's so good to get back to cooking again after being away.

I haven't heard of Rocket coffee machines, will definitely have a google. 

Have had a nice relaxing few days myself.  DH was on his rostered days off and we've spent the time doing stuff around the house.  He spent a lot of time in the back garden potting the terracotta pots with new seedlings from the nursery, it's looking nice.

We've been wanting to down size from our leather lounge suite so thought we'd put it on fb to see if there was any interest.  It was gone within 2 hours to the first person who saw it.  There's still a small 2 seater sofa in there which will be adequate for now until we decide what we are going to do.  Have been thinking about removing the carpet and sanding the floor so will wait until we know what we want.
