Cookie, I'm glad the effects didn't last too long and you are back to feeling as good as new.
Daughter and GS arrived last night and it was so good to see them both. I'm sure GS has grown at least a foot!
We chatted for ages before we all headed to bed.
I didn't go for my walk this morning choosing to head back to bed with a cup of tea and my laptop. At 7am GS came into our room just to give me a hug (DH still asleep). Oh how I've missed his little face.

Julie, that is so nice. We do miss the GC. Our 2 from Melbourne are coming tomorrow. Can’t wait. Yesterday the 16 year old GS from Ballarat rang to see if we wanted anything. Being very grown up.
It was 2 degrees at 9am. Going to be a cool but sunny day.

Julie, that's lovely. My DD and SIL have chosen not to have children, I do have a 5yr old GD from DH's stepdaughter.

I can imagine how you must miss your GC. I don't think we are likely to have any, you don't miss what you have never had. It doesn't perturb me at all. As long as DD is happy, I'm happy.

Cookie, very sensible attitude.
We have quite a few friends who have chosen not to have children.
We have 4 GC and our immediate family is very small.
It was lovely in the sun today. Warm, no wind.

Big cook up today.
Lovely and sunny. Morning tea on verandah. Must enjoy the sun while we can.

We are having beautiful weather at the moment. Warm, sunny days and cool to cold evenings and mornings. I hope we get some more rain soon as we have to switch our sprinklers off for the months of June, July and August.

I can't see my son having any children, so this little boy might be it! He left with his dad yesterday afternoon and I felt a little sad to be honest, so DH and i drove down to the beach and parked where we usually do when we go for our morning walk. We did the full 3.5km walk (me for the second time that day).
Was such a beautiful day and many families out enjoying the sun and the beach. Was good to see quite a few fishermen/children at the waters edge, sitting at least 2m apart, even the kids were doing the right thing. It was just what I needed and got me out of my funk.

I can quite understand that. When we are out and about in the natural surroundings of the world I always get a warm, fuzzy feeling. I just love it. When I was working I used to drive over a bridge and could see up into the Perth hills and bush. Without fail, every morning I used to fell lucky to be around.

Julie, I know exactly how you feel. I go and scratch in the garden when feeling like that.
GD came today and cleaned our horrid black and white bathroom. It has a massive spa bath that we have never used.
I set the oven to bake biscuits and the fan made a shocking noise. RAL said he would look at it as the service people usually have a 2 week wait. In desperation I let him have a go. 2 hours later he had fixed the noise but couldn’t put the oven back together. Fortunately GD arrived and helped.

Thank goodness your oven went back together Chookie, it would have been a ‘not happy Jan’ moment if it had failed. One very game DH doing that job for a prolific cook like you.
A delightful day here, nice working out in the garden, did a bit of shopping for more clothes that actually fit me. Not able to try them on in the shop so I’m about to do that and hope that I’ve chosen the right size.
Julie, you have your special little boy and I totally understand how you feel.
