I’ve been wondering how your DH has been going Margaret, sorry to hear the problems are ongoing.  We all need a reliable stove so good luck with getting one installed asap, I love my Miele.  A good opportunity for your DD to take advantage of the isolation, we all got so many jobs done in the early days of self-isolation.  I do hope she is still being paid whilst in her enforced lockdown.

So sorry about your DH's ongoing health problems, Margaret.  It is another stress you could certainly do without just now.

We got Fisher and Paykel white goods when we did our renovation (solely because we knew someone who knew someone ...).  It is bliss having an oven that works properly and we got the induction top separately.  When we were looking around, there didn't seem to be a great choice in "all in one" oven / cooktop options.  Like Judy, although we don't have Miele, I love their stuff.  Bosch also has a good name.  You may also find that you won't be able to get exactly what you want at the moment due to imports being more challenging and show rooms are emptying out just now as the manufacturers are generally all overseas and COVID has definitely had an effect on that.

I was wondering if that would be happening with appliances. We have a Smeg oven 900 freestanding, I love it . Gas hot plates and electric oven . Fits two large biscuits trays on one shelf . I manage to have a roast and two dishes of roast veg on one shelf and can have dessert on the bottom. It has a noisy fan ( but I am Boise sensitive)but it is at lest 10 years old so they would have changed a lot .

Mab, sorry to hear DH is still not well. Hope things improve soon.
Ovens are very important.  Glad to hear you are going to get rid of that rotten one. Bosch has a good name.  Make sure  that there is a service person available. I have had a St George double oven that I loved and now a Meile which is probably 20 years old.  It bakes very well on all shelves at the same time but we have spent a bit having it repaired. DIL has a steam combi and loves it.
Sorry to hear your DD is in isolation.

So sorry to hear your DH is still unwell Margaret and that your DD is in isolation.

We are just coming out of lockdown but the media is panicking everyone with the thought of a second wave of Covid-19 and it hasn’t even happened yet.

We thought we were having handover of our house this Saturday ( 27th) but it’s been delayed until next week. Nothing DH and I can do about it but grit our teeth. 🤐

It’s 30c here today. Chance and I are sitting in the van with the ac on. 😁

I've been waiting with bated breath to hear about your hand over CC.  It must be excruciating to have to wait another week.

CC, that must be disappointing to say the least.  We envy your warm weather.  Yesterday we had an Electrician do some jobs.  He was telling us he and his family spent some time in England, a few years ago.  They lived near you. 
Still cold here.  Looks like we are heading for lock down in Victoria.  I am considering having deliveries again.  F

It’s almost here though Denise and you are so used to delays that I’m sure you were not surprised. Don’t wear those teeth down!  I wonder how Chance will react when you all move into the big house after all these months in the caravan.  You won’t know yourselfves.

Was a cold walk this morning (3C) and thick with fog.  Was so beautiful and eerie, we loved it.

Forecast for -2 here overnight.  10 today.
Bit depressing with the increase of COVID cases in Melbourne.   People are doing some very stupid things. 
We are having the lamb to stay for a few days.

Julie I was so glad to read recently where your DH is with you on these very early morning walks, I thought you went alone and it worried me.  You would see things at that time of the day that I’m afraid I never will, I like my nice warm bed too much to get out as early as you do.
The Victorian numbers seem to get higher each day Chookie, I can’t see my State opening its borders to Victorians on the 20th July as planned.

Judy, DH is on hols at the moment so he's coming with me but when he's on dayshift/nightshift I do go alone.  I can understand not wanting to get out of a warm bed but flicking back the bed covers and getting out is the hardest part.  Once up, having a wash, clean teeth and getting dressed is all done in 10 mins then I'm out the door.  It's surprising how quickly you warm up when walking fast and almost every single time I'm walking it, I'm so happy that I'm doing it.  I never feel right (as in lethargic) on the days I have off.
