Good to hear things are underway Chookie, I can’t imagine how many boxes of books need to be removed. At least time is on your side to empty the house. Fingers crossed for Ral’s post chemo tests.

We hope all goes well with Ral.

Update on RAL.
Ral has finished his Chemo. Unfortunately he had a nasty fall and may have cracked some ribs.  It has taken 4 weeks to get back to where he was. In a few weeks he is to have another scan to see what state the cancer is in. From what I understand, if the cancer is still there or comes back , it can’t be treated with Chemo as it will have mutated. We will continue to take each day as it comes.  As the Dr reminded us last week, he really shouldn’t still be with us. That was 6 months ago.
He is very much looking forward to the new house. We have checked out the local shopping center Lucas, which is in a growing area,  Very good. Also the golf course which is very close has an excellent Restaurant. We already know 5 families who live within a block of new home. One month to go for shift.

Thanks for the update Chookie, what a roller coaster ride you’re on. Fingers crossed that Ral’s next scan is good news and that your move into the new house goes smoothly. I’d say that within a very short time you will know everyone on the block! Take care of each other xx

Chookie you are going to have to confiscate Ral’s roller skates, skate board and other dangerous things. 😀😀😀
Hoping that everything goes super well for you both. ❌

Lovely to get the update.  So sorry to hear of Ral's accident, that would have really 'thrown' him (please excuse the pun, I couldn't think of another word!).  You both have so much to contend with just now and the two of you remain in our thoughts every day.  We send hugs (but just a gentle one for Ral) and good wishes to you both and hope the next scan shows good results.

Has anyone else received their copy of Nagi’s first book yet?  It is huge! It measures 23 cm wide x 29 cm long, is 25cm thick and weighs 1.7kg. In comparison, our Everyday Cookbook for the TMX weighs 946grams (mine is a 2013 edition) There’s no way I expected it to be this size for just $24, how is the poor girl going to make a profit on that low price. Once again her generosity shows through.  I bought it for DD2 but will be having a good look through it before I give it to her, she will get much more use from it that I would these days.

I have been expecting mine Judy. I thought it would be sent from the local Big W.  It’s being shipped fromSydney and has taken 11 days so far. Possibly caught in the floods.

Mine took a week cookie so I would expect Perth would take much longer. Worth the wait though, it’s really good.

I thought it would be quite big ... just looking at the photo of her and Dozer at the book launch I thought it was quite a size.  I am hoping mine comes today or tomorrow.

Still waiting for my book. It left Sydney some time ago.
I think Nagi is quite amazing.
