I’m attending lots of bring a plate functions. The food is mostly awful. I haven’t realised that there are so many uncritical cooks out there.

That is so funny Chookie. DH has attended a couple of Nasho Fair Go lunches recently and has said the food was terrible. One was at Optus Stadium.

Out yesterday for Xmas lunch with Probus.  Again I thought it was very average. Tomorrow, dinner with a small group from my TaiChi class. I think this will be better as the hostess has ordered a platter from Wilson’s.

Had lunch at Granary Lane , new wine bar Restaurant in Ballarat yesterday. Food was good but they don’t serve coffee.

I took some things to the op shop this morning ( ours is open 7 days a week ) and I found this for $6, so couldn't leave it there.  The cup is not the same as my 31 but it does still fit in the hole in the lid.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Today's deliveries of my Nuts and Bolts gifts are to two cafes (that was nail-biting as they both offer good food) and to our stationer.  No. 1 cafe was very appreciative as the year has been hard for him and he was all smiles and loved them.  No. 2 cafe will get theirs this afternoon ... although I just saw no. 2 cafe going to no. 1 cafe a wee while ago for his coffee so I am expecting a grilling on where / when he is getting his nuts and bolts!!  both a lovely guys so it will all be in fun.

I was very pleased and quite amused when they told me that they (and all their staff) loved them.  Quite a relief to my poor ego!

Marina, that is great. What a relief.
I took Portuguese Custard Tarts to the Tai Chi break up party. I was relieved when they all went. I attached a list of ingredients to the plate as so many in our class have food issues.

I usually do the same if DD takes food to work. It helps those with allergies etc.

Saturday my washing machine broke down. The repair lady, while she was here showed me some functions on my ovens.  This may solve some problems.

Have had to cancel trip to Melbourne. My friend from Perth has developed Shingles. Disappointed but will try and regroup next year. I can now go to the neighbourhood Xmas party.

My lactose intolerance has raised its nasty little head. I think it must be all the Xmas butter, cream and cheese.  Have been looking at substitutes, plenty available.

Good that you’ll be able to join your neighbours but not good for your friend Chookie.  Take care of yourself,  pre-Christmas functions make it very tempting to eat things we know we shouldn’t.

Just a call out to Gert in Cairns, I hope you’re in a safe place and have everything you need.
