Amy my DH sounds like a freight train when he is snoring.
I could hear him from downstairs last night as he went to bed before me .
I didn't even attempt to sleep in the same bed just went straight to upstairs guest room.

I snore he snores the dogs snore.  DH sleeps on the other side of the house  with one dog on his bed. Not me Amy!  I sleep on the opposite side. With one os dog on the floor. No not DH.  The guest  room is in the middle.  Poor them!

I'm sure snoring is a sign that you're not breathing properly when you're asleep though

I've got to say that I really feel for the snorers themselves . . .they must feel really depleted the next day.  I'd be dragging them along for tests for sleep apnoea asap . . . .

A friend's husband is using a much newer machine at night - not noisy at all . . . and the difference it has made to him (not to mention everyone else!) is amazing . . !!

Goldfish, is it a C-PAP machine? My step dad has one.

To be honest goldfish my DH wakes up bright and early and always refreshed. He sleeps deeply most nights while I wake up frequently due to his snoring.    Thats why the guest room is appealing after a few restless nights

Goldfish, is it a C-PAP machine? My step dad has one.

Not sure Amy.  Will check when I talk to them.  He tried various machines some time ago with less than happy results.  This one seems to have hit the nail on the head so to speak . . . .

That sounds similar to SD, he tried a few other ones too. The C-PAP is a really good but a bit weird because the mask makes him look like he should be in an intensive care unit

Has your SD got heart problems Amy?

Only a heart murmer, MF, but he has other complications. He has type 1 diabetes and he had a brain tumour a few years ago

Wow he hasn't had much luck recently Amy. 
Hopefully he is ok and enjoying a good quality of life

No, he hasn't MF But at least he gets a yummy dinner every night And he is okay now

That's true and we all know what he eats every night

Some people have had success with this pillow helping with the snoring. Has helped DS considerably.
