Thanks Astarra.
I know she will be fine while away as we will be doing different things and in a different environment.
It must be hard being without the person you shared your life with for over 60 years.
I miss my dad very much but I am not the one that is now living alone.
I know I miss my DH when he is away. Must be hard to accept that the one you loved is never coming back.
Cuilidh we are going to Queenstown. Read on a previous post that you are from Wellington.
I didn't know you were a Scottish/Aussie/Kiwi  ;D ;D ;D

Evening all. Morning CC.
Thanks for all the comments.
Farmers wives area usually jack of all trades.... Unfortunately!

And unfortunately this job has highest earning capacity in terms of hours of temp menial jobs on offer so have to stick with it.

Going on a trawl of my neighbours for newspaper this morning. Work starts at 2.

Imagine having a puppy and no newspaper!!!!!
Sometimes these household s have no practical people living there!

Hope MF the holiday helps. My mother took a while to adjust, but Dad had been very ill and wasn't the same man, so it maybe made the passing easier. They had 60 yrs, and the last 10 he'd been ill.
Now age is catching up with her and we seem to be in next stage.
Lots of bereavements in last month, and the dark nights, and driving less far now. My sister goes on holiday with her every year. It would not work if I tried that. Not for either of us. LOL. She enjoyed Sunday lunch here though.

MF I feel sorry for you and your Mum. My Mum survived 7 years without my Dad and I quite honestly don't think she ever got over his death.

DJ, maybe the kids could help clean up after the pup! Just think of the money as you said.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Hope you enjoy your class CC, have not done much here today it has been terribly windy and we have a lot of smoke from a bushfire. (It is quite a distance from us).  Hope it quietens down tonight

I have just seen an ad on TV saying Deltra Goodrum is going to be in my local  Smithfield  shopping centre . Why?

Can't imagine Gert, expect you will tell us! Who is she?

Pouring cats and dogs here, oh joys. Been on a sweep of the neighbours and got some newspapers, thankfully.

Will pop on later tonight.

Bye for now
