goldfish, ticks are quite common here, just kill them before removing, and use tee tree.

Obbie - yes, thanks for the reminder , , I knew that but had an entirely "whoosh" moment - and it being colder didn't think ticks would be a problem - age old lesson: don't assume anything at any time!! ;D ;D

I would assume with the cooler days upon us that tick season was over. Although we have had some very unpredictable weather - hot, cold, rainy, warm. Ticks probably don't realise they are past their expiry date.   ???

No rain today.Clear blue skies with brilliant sunshine but still cold.

Lol ....why is it some perfectly harmless insects just live for a day or two  .... And these &)$&$?! s go for months it seems ...Obviously no natural justice in the insect world...

Fine, thanks Goldfish.  Not so wet today but quite cold.  I am glad you are feeling better.  I had not realised there are two types of ticks here.  Went to the Vet to get a worm pill for the dog and they had ticks taken off dogs in little bottles.  One was a paralysis tick that paralises the dog and the other a brown tick which the girl said was not as bad.  Did not like either but at least I now know  what they look like.  Not nice.
