One stil has blood on it and the other meconium. When they dry or the mother licks them it will fall off.

Thanks Gert, obviously I have never been anywhere near new born lambs although the relatives on Mum's side all lived on farms :-))
Poor lamby, he/she had a stressful birth then from what I read about meconium.

Same thing happens in human babies Judy. They don't come out clean and shiny and smelling nice. ;D ;D ;D

At least we don't have to lick them clean.

Cute twins, thanks for the laugh girls.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Gert is quite right. The whiter lamb with blood was the one which  came first, and she is a first time mum. The second one I pulled out as the mother had stopped pushing and started to eat beet.... I could tell from the yellow fluid that the lamb needed to come ASAP. It was all there, two feet and a nose.
Until it rains on them they will look different. Today they get rings on their tails and other parts and a number. Turn out tomorrow if weather ok.
Am going to dr today too. Need AB.
