Just received an email from my consultant and she and her husband have opened a B & B in Speewah which is about 20 minutes from my house. Be a good place for people who cannot go anywhere without their Thermomix and she had put one in each of the rooms!!!

Good place for anyone coming to Cairns.

Good morning everyone.  Well I tried the Nighty Night tea last night and you won't believe this - I hardly had a wink all night. It certainly had a calming affect almost immediately but I saw every hour go by on the clock face, napped for short periods and at 6.15 I took half a sleeping tablet, set the alarm for 4 hours and after 2.5 hours a darn cat jumped over the side fence which made it bang and once again I was wide awake so decided I might as well get up.  I'm bound to fall off my perch at the football late this afternoon  ;D

What a strange idea Gert.  I've never stayed in a B & B but I thought you were given breakfast at one then you went out for the day, eating out and only coming home for rest and sleep or moving onto your next destination.

I'm not saddened to hear you can no longer earn your TMX by becoming a consultant as many only do it for that period and then move on - their heart isn't in it.  Consultants need to be passionate about the Thermomix and be there for their customers.

Good morning everyone, shame your tea didn't help you last night JD.
I don't sleep well either, these days.
I'm having a lazy morning reading the forum in bed.

I saw a new neurologist yesterday, he was so nice and friendly and answered all DH and my questions, didn't rush us out the door and to top it off, he bulk billed us
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

"I'm not saddened to hear you can no longer earn your TMX by becoming a consultant as many only do it for that period and then move on - their heart isn't in it.  Consultants need to be passionate about the Thermomix and be there for their customers."

Judy do you think the suspension of training is significant? I am wondering if it is the same in other countries?  Which leads me to wonder if there may be a new model coming out?  Perhaps one with some added features like increased temperature for caramelisation. In any case they would need some lead in time to train up their leaders, revamp web sites, demos and such like. It would be a big deal eh? And of course, a new EDC  would be needed, stock in place and oh boy...... plus plus+++++

And of course we are having a few more members here from the US importing their Thermomixes so could be they are making a move into the US market as more people there share their experiences. Now that would be huge and make this forum even more important.

Food for thought and discussion maybe.

Would many of us buy a newer model?   Think we might especially as many of us desire Two or have kids moving out.

Am also thinking that some of us would sell the Thermomix 31 which would create a buyers market for those  who bought the Bellini and really now see the difference. I think we would have no trouble getting a decent price for ours. If a new model is coming out no doubt Vorwerk would keep this under wraps but if we see a few more Thermomix's coming on Gumtree it could be a clue and some people may have some inside info and want to get a better price while they can.

Think I may be searching around other countries for info.

I am not privvy to anything going on Gert and whilst my machine is working and spare parts are available, I see no need for me to replace it.  Your mind is working overtime with all the scenarios LOL.

We had 2 great neurologists Jen, the first one retired eventually and passed us over to the next one.  We always enjoyed our 6 monthly visits and there were laughs aplenty during our appointments. They had never met anyone like Geoff.  I hope yours is as nice.

A new model Thermo would have to have a lot of new features to make me want to part with  more money, having said that I will reserve my judgement for when and if it happens. Never say never! Lol

Gert you are indeed a wealth of information, where do you get it all?

Jeninwa I am so glad you like your neurologist. It is really important. Keep well and safe.

Obbie, what have you done to your heart to be in CCU for a week?
