Hello all, on our way home after a nice week away, 40 deg's is too hot, it was going to be 37 in Echuca that's why we are heading home, Julie sounds like you have a good plan in place are you in SA?

Yes I am Brenda - regional SA. :)

Thanks girls, I did enjoy my day it was so relaxing.  Another warm one today then it's cooling down to 28 tomorrow which is nice.  Enjoy your day whatever you all may be doing.  ;D

Does anyone in here regret their decision to buy a thermie?

Not at all.  It allows me to make things I wouldn't bother with otherwise and I've found it to be so reliable, hasn't given me a scrap of trouble in almost 6 years.  (I've got the TM31)  :D

Not at all, it's the best thing since sliced bread.  Are you thinking of buying one yourself?

SgGrant, the only regret I have is not buying one when they first came out. Had mine for 5 years, it is an ongoing love affair! Lol

Same as Katj, only regret is the procrastinating.  I have had TM31 4 years and now a TM 5.  No regrets.
Morning everyone.

Thanks everyone. I have been borrowing my friends 3rd machine (she is a consultant) for past 3 weeks... Hubby has finally been convinced that I NEED one, and it's on order. I am just freaking out that I have now committed to the big investment and worried I won't be able to produce the goods. My food has come out a bit bland, just hoping as I learn to use it more, my food knowledge will improve and so will the flavour

Absolutely no regrets here either. I have a TM 31 and the new TM 5.
My consultant gave me a very good piece of advice when I first bought mine. He said make yourself use it at least once a day for 2 weeks. At first it was hard but you soon realise what a great machine it is. I make all our own bread, rolls etc, icecream, sauces, jams and goodness knows what.
I was really hungry when I finished the shopping on Friday so I decided I would do something I hadn't done for over 10 years. I bought a fruit roll from Bakers' Delight. It was a small apricot and sultana one with no added sugar. I was shocked at the price. It was $1.70. I couldn't help think OMG I could make this for a few cents. Gotta love the thermomix.  ;D ;D
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
