Not having a good week Judy. Tradesman failed to show up,to fix a door, TNTfailed to,show to pick up my TMX. The window washer failed to,turn up today and as I pulled up my new blinds for the first time today one is stuck in the up position so now I have to,wait for someone to come and fix it. I am not climbing onto a glass topped desk to fiddle with it.

Telstra slowed my internet speed to almost a full stop which meant I was unable to watch Netflix..

First world problems but annoying all the same.

Oh Gert I hope things improve soon.
I think it is awful your TM5 hasn't been operational for 31 days. Very poor service and support.

I smiled at your comment re. taking your mum for her pacemaker check up, Judy.  I have a very similar implant, although not for my heart (thank goodness) but for my sacral nerve in my pelvic area.  The battery went totally flat on me earlier this year and I was really miserable until the new battery went in.  I had it replaced about a month ago and life is great once again  :) :)

Gert, what a horrible series of everything going wrong at once.  Particularly frustrating with the TMX.  I do hope everyone turns up soon to start putting everything right for you again.  Retail therapy is always helpful!

Don't they check the battery life on yours Marina, they hook Mum up and it shows she has 4 years life left on hers before it needs replacing.

I did have it checked (a couple of years ago!) and I still had a few years left in it at that time so I forgot about it.  I suspect because it is not a life-dependant implant it is not treated as such.  This particular device is a fairly new application for these implants - at the time I got mine originally, 7 years ago, it was only the second one my surgeon had done and I was one of the first five in Victoria to get one.

It was not a huge problem that the battery was flat, but because of that my life was not as enjoyable as it is with a nice fresh battery!

It sounds a very useful implant. It's a pity you couldn't plug them in and re charge over night.
