Morning all.
Good to catch up.
DD much better. First morning she hasn't had bad  head ache and felt ill. We are going to Bendigo to collect car then home.
Sorry Gert isn't coming to stay but we will certainly make it up to her. We also missed Welsh choir. Too Bu....d to go.
So looking forward to FF. see you all soon.

Chookie there is no need to make anything up to me. I am blessed to know that you wanted me to visit even under the very trying circumstances and however bu##ered  you both are. True friends like you two are rare. Bless.

Trudy, belated congratulations to you and DH - 40 years is a great achievement

KatyJ - sorry your DD wasn't able to run, I've been fortunate to never have had to pull out due to injury and can only imagine how disappointing.

Thanks for the well wishes, I ran the 1/2 marathon (21.1km) yesterday and surprisingly loved every minute of it. I had trained properly for the first time and really noticed the difference on the day. My time was around 2.05 which I was 5 minutes faster than I was hoping for, so I was happy although a little disappointed as I feel I could probably do better  ;D. It was a great day  in Melbourne and the course is just amazing, so for me who loves Melbourne it was great to run through the streets and past landmarks that we normally only see as you are driving past,  to get to run around the MCG at the end is  also a highlight. I  love the fact that 30,000 people all get out on a Sunday morning and are able to participate regardless of age and ability and everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

congratulations, Wonder, you did really well.  My neighbour did the full marathon and, like you, came in at a good time so he was pleased with that.  I think the weather must have been a big help - not too hot ... not too cold!

Congratulations Wonder. To read that you enjoyed it was the very best thing. See you Friday evening.

You'll have to tell us where you'd like us to hold it when you want to visit us again Denise, I'm sure we could work around your city of choice.
