Loving all the rain that we are getting in west.

Good morning everyone.
Yes Chookie and Jen, the rain in Perth & surrounds is wonderful. I had the bedroom window open last night, it was nice to hear the rain coming down, I'm sure it helps me to sleep better.
Have a great week everybody.
Gert, I hope your eye is feeling a little better today.

When we built this house Katj we decided to have a metal roof so we could hear the rain. It's lovely.

I agree Cookie, had a metal roof in a past house, it is great to hear it coming down. I remember having to turn the TV up at times it was quite loud.

We have a metal roof, not by choice, it was how the house was built. With all the insulation we hardly notice the rain or it maybe it's our failing hearing.  :D It is nice to listen to over the patio roof.

I have a verandah and a pergola covered in alsynite and heavy rain is so loud I can't hear myself think nor can I get to sleep.  I always thought I'd like a house with a metal roof as I do like the sound of rain but not when I'm tryjng to watch TV or get to sleep.  Obviously with roof insulation it makes a big difference.

Big rains expected here in Adelaide tomorrow.
