That's sad Katj. We are near 3 lakes and one is looking very bad.

Morning all.
Open Day again.
Looking forward to seeing how Cherokee garden coped with the heat.
Many of the dams at Macedon and Ballarat are empty.  We still have water in our dam at Invermay and the birds are loving it. We always keep water in the bird baths .
CC, hope you are careful walking in the mud.
Enjoy the long weekend holiday.

As I was driving up to Guildford yesterday I called in to a wee town called Malmsbury on the way and took a rest at the botanic gardens there only to see their lake almost dry with all the ducks and geese looking miserable and forlorn.

Hope you had luck with your open day yesterday, Chookie.

Good morning everyone, clearer heat expected today.  It was as if we were living in the tropics these last couple of days.

Robyn I think it depends on the humidity. I found that places in the tropics vary greatly in the degree of humidity. For example the humidity in Port Hedland is really atrocious and very hard to tolerate. Yet in Broome which is only about 400km as the crow flies ( or even less) it is quite tolerable. Both are on the Coast. Both are quite flat too.
I do agree that you become tolerant of it though. We found when we lived in Broome that we required jumpers in the city even for the summer as everyone had their air con on and we froze.

Home is home, no matter where.
