Evening  all.
This morning it was -1.2 with a frost. Same tomorrow. Lovely day to follow.
Made a loaf of bread. 1/3 each of Rye, Laucke Soft White, and Spelt. Rose beautifully. Baked in tin with lid.  When cooked it was 1/2 the proved size.
Think I have picked up Mab's gremlin.

OMG Chookie. When I make bread here I have to compensate for  the heat.  Still. 30 every day. YIkes and I was thinking of visiting you! LOL!

Morning all.
Gert, looking forward to a visit but we will wait until the weather warms up a bit. House is quite warm as there is central heating as well as most rooms have heaters.
Still unpacking. Most of the mess is now in the kitchen and what will be the study.
The strange loaf I made yesterday has a fine texture and tastes nice, just small slices.

Good morning everyone.  A chilly 1 deg here this morning, haas now risen to a "warm" :-)) :-)) 7deg.

Chookie , sorry to pass on my bread gremlin.  My bread tastes nice but has more of a scone texture.  DS's comment "don't worry mum it's much better than shop bread". :)
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

So true re the shop bread Margaret. When we travel DD now makes her own bread. Said she cant stand the poly styrene they call bread.
I'm going to experiment with a couple of different loaves in the varoma over the next few days. DH has closed down our spare freezer and now I can't find anything anywhere!

Good morning everyone, Friday already. Another lovely day here, I think you've sent some of your fine weather over to us at last cookie although it's not quite as warm as you've had in WA.

I do my best Judy!!  We have another 29 on Sunday.

DD and I went to a book launch last night. DD had the honour of launching the book and then conducting an evening of conversation with the author. It was most enjoyable. The author and her family had put on a lovely spread of nibbles and drinks.
DD was absolutely thrilled to receive a lovely bouquet of flowers from the publisher.
I have yet to read the book but I will take it away with me.

Good afternoon all.
Been in to Ballarat shopping this morning. Lots of little jobs.
Beautiful day. Sunny with light breeze.
The carpenters are coming on Monday to install study furniture.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

How exciting for your DD on having the honour to launch a book Cookie. Well done Miss Cookie 8)

Why is it so cold here? :( Fed up with this cool, grey overcast weather.
