All good up here. Lovely weather. 33 today. Tomorrow I am treating myself (after my recent wee bit of trauma) by taking myself up to Palm Cove  for a few days of R & R.

After rejecting brachytherapy I am faced with a decision on whether to take Arimedex or not. Anyone know of anyone  who has taken this drug? The side effects are horrendous and I am thinking about just taking my chances on a third bout of Cancer.

Going on another cruise in Jan then a lovely trip to Italy in May so life is good for me. Hope it is the same for everyone and no dramas over the Christmas season.

Gertbysea, good to hear all going well. Think my niece is on that drug. They can’t decide whether she is having hot flushes or it is the drug. I think she need a second opinion. What are the stats about getting it for a 3rd time?
Thanks for the iPad advice. Going to Melbourne on Saturday for a couple of days. Will try and decide before then.

Hi friends.
No sun again here today :( I gather we are in for heavy rain tonight then we are heading for a very cold weekend with snow falling in parts of the UK.  :-))

Already about 30 degrees here!

Chookie tell Ral he is a darling and I know you won't come home from Melbourne without your New iPad.

Your niece is no doubt having the hot flushes because of the drug. That is the least of the side effects and nearly everyone has them according to the reviews I have read. It is the bone loss, trigger fingers, pain in the hands and debilitating nausea, insomnia etc that is putting me off. I think i would  rather have a mastectomy than a fractured neck of femur. I have excellent bones at the moment and have no need of a left breast. I would have had a mastectomy anyway but for the recovery time I would have had. Anyway at 74 I think I may take my chances. If I were younger I would probably take the drug and just have that further insurance. I did take tamoxifin for  5 years and that was a doddle compared to arimedex.

You two have a good time shopping at Chadstone. Easy parking Ral. Don't forget  the pencil and you will love being able to draw on the iPad with the grandkids. You can then print the drawings or print to canvas and all sorts of fun things. You will be amazed how much more you can do with the new generation of iPads. I have not opened my Mac in over 6 months and my PC in two years.

I am sure Ral won't disappoint. Such a darling he is and he knows how much Chookie uses her iPad.

Poor old iPad, it has had it.   Something wrong with the hardware.   Have taken Gert's advice.as to specifications .and ordered a new one.   Will pick up on Sunday at Highpoint.  Cant even back up on to the old MacBook   I am hoping they can transfer info to new iPad..

Good on you Chookie.  If they can’t move all the information to the new iPad don’t worry about it just start off new. It is amazing the stuff we do not need to access ever again. You can sync all your apps from your backup anyway.

Hi Mich.

Sounds like the new iPad could be on its way for you Chookie.

Gert you have a hard decision there.
